Our Next President: Barack Obama

Now that McCain is going to get the nomination from the GOP, you can start counting the days until Obama is sworn in as president (no, Hillary doesn't have a chance). McCain will get crushed in the general election. Many of the Republicans voting against McCain in the primaries, (especially the Romney and Paul supporters), hate McCain so much that they'll vote against him in the general election, regardless of the fact that he's the Republican nominee.

We could only be so lucky. I feel that McCain still has a surpringly large appeal in America. Not to mention the fact that whether America admits it or not, race (or gender) will play a major factor in the election. I really hope that Obama becomes our next president. Otherwise, I am moving to Canada.

Pains me to say that you may be incorrect here. Hillary vs. McCain. Are you kidding me? Enjoy Canada Greg. When all is said and done, I think we can put most, if not all the blame, on Mr. Huckabee for making us choose between the better of two bad choices. He and Johnny boy have proven to be quite a team in taking Romney out. Frustrating, sad, but at least the Suns have Shaq.

Shouldn't the nation be slightly disturbed that McCain pulled one of the sleaziest moves in West Virginia? What's next, a McCain - Kim Jong-il duo? Oh, and I have decided to go to New Zealand. Canada is already over-populated with expatriots.

Every time I try to get this straight in my head, I throw up a little in my mouth and have to take my mind to my "happy place". Help me make a decision here. I have the sick sensation that my team just signed Ryan Leaf to a four year deal. So, do I vote for McCain on behalf of the future, the court, and the war? Forgive me if I hesitate in assuming McCain will toe the party line. I am less concerned about what McCain will do for (or to) the nation, and more concerned about what he will do to the image and future of conservatism. If his impotence as a senator is any indication of his presidency (I can't help but giggle at the improbability), a Republican win could be worse than a loss.

McCain is capable of destroying the image of conservatism whether he's elected or not. The next 7 months are going to be painful to watch. Of course, "conservatism" was already hard to define before McCain and Romney started hating each other.
